This fund provides financial help to members, or their dependants, facing a critical need that cannot otherwise be met.

We are able to provide help for things such as:

  • unemployment
  • sickness
  • financial hardship in old age
  • a career break

The committee meets throughout the year to consider applications for support. There are procedures to deal quickly with urgent cases. We deal with enquiries and requests in the strictest of confidence.

Make a donation or bequest

This fund was established in 1924 by the first honorary treasurer, Major CES Philips. Over the years, it has grown thanks to the generosity of our members who continue to support it with donations and bequests.
